Countrywide Realtors

Thift of a Home

Citrus Heights, California, 95610

I had a mortgage with Countrywide. Due to illness (my husband's and mine) we got behind on the payments. They told us not to worry about it, just wait until the next month and then we could make all three payments. We waited. The first of the next month we called to see if they wanted a check or if they wanted us to come in to their office and pay in cash. They said that since we were now 3 months behind they couldn't accept our check or our cash. We had to pay with a credit card. We didn't have a credit card and let them know that fact. They told us to get a prepaid card for $6,000.00+. We did that.

They then said that they no longer took prepaid cards. The store that we brought to prepaid card from said that there was no possible way for them to give us our money back. We had over six thousand dollars on a prepaid card and no was to use it for saving our home. My husband was 73 and I was 60 when we were evicted.

These Countrywide people lied to us every step of the way. I was hoping Presisdent Obama would launch an investigation and send all of these scoundrels to prison!!!

They sold our home to someone and now they want us to pay the rest of what we owed on the mortgage! They sold our home and they still want us to pay them the remainder of the mortgage -- I wish someone could help, but I know that is a pipe-dream.
